MATTENGA’S PIZZERIA TAKES ITS AWARD-WINNING PIZZA ON THE ROAD

New Braunfels just got an easier way to grab some of the best pizza in Texas

Big pizza news is rolling through New Braunfels. Mattenga’s Pizzeria has officially launched a brand-new food truck, bringing its award-winning pies beyond the walls of its brick-and-mortar locations and closer to even more local pizza lovers. The pizzeria has been voted Best Pizza in San Antonio three years in a row (2023–2025) and even earned a review from Dave Portnoy, putting it firmly on the map as one of the region’s most legit pizza spots.

The new food truck is parked on Elliot Knox Blvd heading toward H-E-B on Walnut, right next to Munches Locos. For the first couple of weeks, the truck will serve pizza Thursday through Saturday from 4–9 pm, with plans to expand to Wednesday through Sunday soon. Same Mattenga’s quality, same fan-favorite pies, just on wheels and closer to home for a lot of New Braunfels residents.
