A Sweet Event That Supports the Fight Against Cancer

Cake lovers and bakers alike are invited to a charity cake swap this Saturday at the Mill St. Youth Center Gym from 11-3, featuring appearances by Food Network stars, all in support of the fight against cancer. The event combines creativity, community, and a shared love of dessert for a cause that hits close to home for many.

Attendees will have the chance to meet celebrity chefs, enjoy a fun, welcoming atmosphere, and take part in an experience that’s equal parts indulgent and meaningful. If you’re looking for a feel-good way to spend your time and support an important mission, this is one worth adding to your calendar.

Downtown Spot Targets Late February Debut

After months of anticipation and a few weather-related delays, Kennedy’s Tavern has shared an updated timeline for its outdoor bar. The current target opening date is February 27, marking the first phase of the project at the historic Voight House in downtown New Braunfels.

This initial opening will include the outdoor bar, live music stage, food truck, fire pits, and restrooms, giving locals a new place to gather while the interior tavern remains under development.

While a timeline for the full interior build-out hasn’t been announced yet, this milestone brings Kennedy’s one step closer to becoming a new downtown favorite.

The truly cold weather has finally started to arrive in New Braunfels, and your roof plays a major role in keeping your home comfortable and energy efficient. A properly installed metal roof helps retain heat, reduce drafts, and maintain consistent indoor temperatures, not just during summer, but year-round.

Wilson Roofing & Renovations designs and installs custom metal roofing systems built for Texas conditions, from extreme heat and hail to sudden cold fronts. If a roof upgrade has been on your list, now is a smart time to get on it.
