A piece of Texas history rides into town Monday as the Annual Rodeo Trail Ride makes its stop in Gruene. Part of a seven-day journey from San Marcos to San Antonio, the trail ride helps kick off the San Antonio Livestock Show and Rodeo and celebrates tradition, fellowship, and a shared love of horses.

Trail riders are expected to arrive in the Gruene Historic District between 11:00 AM and noon, where they’ll take a short break before continuing on. Visitors are welcome to meet the riders, pet the horses, and take in this timeless scene against the backdrop of one of New Braunfels’ most iconic districts.
