šŸ’§ Clean The River & Ways to Celebrate Mother’s Day Weekend

IN PARTNERSHIP WITH

Happy Friday! Mother’s Day weekend is officially here, and New Braunfels has a pretty solid mix of ways to spend it. Whether you’re in the mood to do something meaningful outdoors or keep things relaxed with friends and family, there are a couple events this weekend that stand out right away.

Galleywinter River Jam 2026 is happening July 11 at Happy Cow Bar & Grill, bringing together a stacked lineup of Texas artists for a full night of live music, good vibes, and Hill Country energy.

The night features Presley Haile, Nyles Robakiewicz, Nick Brumley, Race Ricketts, and headliners The Smokin’ Oaks, all taking the stage for an unforgettable summer concert in New Braunfels. Doors open at 6 PM, the music kicks off at 7 PM, and this 21+ event is expected to draw a big crowd.

A community event focused on keeping New Braunfels beautiful

The Trash Free Gulf Clean Up is bringing locals together to help clear trash from the Guadalupe River while spending time out on the water. Organizers will have 20 water vehicles available to help clean approximately two miles of river inside city limits, along with grabbers, gloves, and trash bags provided through partnerships with Paddle TX and New Braunfels Parks and Recreation.

It’s part of a statewide effort to protect Texas waterways and keep local rivers clean for everyone who enjoys them. Spots are expected to fill quickly, so if you’ve been wanting to get involved in something meaningful locally, this is a great opportunity to do it outdoors with the community.

A fun mix of fitness, drinks, and quality time

Sips & Succulents at Pure Barre is bringing together a free workout class, cactus margaritas, mocktails, lite bites, and take-home succulents for a fun Mother’s Day weekend event in New Braunfels. Happening Saturday from 8:00 AM to 12:00 PM, it’s designed as a relaxed experience where you can celebrate with your mom, daughter, sisters, or favorite group of friends.

Between the class, drinks, and social atmosphere, it’s an easy way to do something a little different while still keeping things low-key and fun. Spots are limited, so this is one you’ll probably want to reserve early.

This Mother’s Day, we’re spotlighting the story behind Newman & Company and founder Rhi Newman, who started the business in a garage back in 2015 after becoming a mom and wanting to build something more meaningful for her family and community.

What began as a side hustle while juggling two jobs has grown into one of the Hill Country’s top med spas, known for personalized care, wellness, and strong client relationships. Now, the business is preparing for its next big step with a brand-new 5,400-square-foot location on Gruene Road expected to open in June.
