đź’¦ STORMS, RIVER CLOSURES, AND A SMALL WIN FOR CANYON LAKE

A soggy week in New Braunfels — and a whole lot of impact.

Wednesday night’s storm packed a punch, temporarily closing parts of the Comal River and scattering trash carts across neighborhoods. Canyon Lake levels rose by about a foot, now sitting at 46.5% full — a small improvement but still far from where we need to be.

As of Friday morning, access to the Comal River is still closed, and the Spring Fed Pool at Landa Park is temporarily shut down. The city says they’ll reevaluate river conditions today so make sure to keep your eyes peeled for updates.

If your trash cart floated off, it may be just a few houses away — or you can file a request at newbraunfels.gov/garbagerequest.
