BUZZ AROUND TOWN
Here are some important happenings around the New Braunfels area right now:
A tragic accident took place this week in New Braunfels when a 4-year-old child was fatally struck by a vehicle in a parking lot off IH 35. The incident remains under investigation by NBPD.
New Braunfels may soon become home to a $15M-$25M plastics manufacturing facility from Canadian company Lefko, bringing up to 150 jobs. A $950K incentive package is being considered to seal the deal.
Officials are asking for help identifying the person who illegally shot and killed a deer with a crossbow near 109 Mission Drive. If you have any information, contact Operation Game Thief at 1-800-792-GAME.
The City Council just approved a $250K agreement to develop a Bicycle and Pedestrian Network Plan, which will focus on expanding sidewalks, trails, and bike lanes throughout New Braunfels. The project is expected to be completed by July 2026.
