🤝New Braunfels Weekend Rundown: How to Help + What to Do

Good morning, New Braunfels đź‘‹

This week has been a heavy one, but our community continues to show up in beautiful ways. Today’s email brings you a mix of support efforts for flood victims and some local events to check out this weekend.

Here’s what’s inside:

Ways to Donate, Volunteer, and Make a Real Difference

Flooding devastated towns across the Hill Country last week, and hundreds of families are still reeling.

We've compiled a detailed guide on our site that breaks down how New Braunfels residents can get involved — from local donation drives and item drop-offs to safe and trusted charities for financial support.

There’s even info on what items are most in need, and what local restaurants are giving their proceeds to victims.

Bring Your Green Babies to Trade or Sell

The July edition of the Pints & Plants Swap is happening this Sunday from 12–3 pm at The Villa (1190 Gruene Rd).

Expect a fun mix of indoor and outdoor plants for sale or trade, hosted under the covered patio. Under 21 is welcome, and dogs are allowed on the patio. If you’d like to sell plants, bring your own table and label items when possible.

Reach out to organizers through the Facebook event page if you have questions. It’s the perfect laid-back Sunday event.

Here’s How the New Paid System Works

Starting this week, New Braunfels officially rolled out a paid parking system downtown. About a third of the on-street spaces are now part of the digital system, charging $2 per hour after the first free hour, with a $10 max per day.

🕒 Enforced 7 days a week, 10 am – 10 pm
đź’ł Paid via app or Parking Ambassadors
🅿️ Free and paid lots are still available

Parking violations come with a steep $100 fine (or $65 if paid within 10 days), so it’s worth brushing up on where and how to park.

You can view the full map and info at newbraunfels.gov/parking.
