Happy Friday, New Braunfels. It’s been a hectic couple of days, and we continue to keep our Hill Country neighbors who’ve been impacted by the floods in our thoughts and prayers. We’ve already seen a lot of people around New Braunfels step up to help, and are so grateful for this amazing community.

The weekend has officially arrived, and New Braunfels is packed with a lot of good stuff the next few days. We've rounded up 15 events to help you make the most of your weekend.

Every successful business has a story, and Newman & Company is a true local success. Founded by New Braunfels native Rhi Newman in 2015, what began in a garage has grown into one of the Hill Country's most trusted destinations for beauty, wellness, and aesthetic care.

Now, the team is preparing for its next exciting chapter with a beautiful new 5,400-square-foot location on Gruene Road. While an official opening date hasn't been announced just yet, the new space is getting very close to welcoming clients.

4) 2026 Party for the Planet - World Environment Day Event at Fischer Park (Friday, 4:00 PM) - Join for Party for the Planet, a free, family-friendly event celebrating World Environment Day with a DJ, foam party, splash pad fun, and environmental education and crafts.

5) River Float – Texas at Camp Huaco Springs (Friday, 12:00 PM) - Enjoy a weekend of camping, river adventures, and the natural beauty of the Texas Hill Country.

Buying a home at Mayfair does more than give you a place to live—it helps give back to New Braunfels. Through the Mayfair Promise, $100 from every new home sold is donated to each of three local nonprofits: Headwaters at the Comal, the New Braunfels Parks Foundation, and the Comal Education Foundation.

As part of this initiative, Mayfair recently presented $11,600 donations each to Headwaters at the Comal, the New Braunfels Parks Foundation, and the Comal Education Foundation, a significant increase from last year's $3,000 donations to each organization.

As Mayfair continues to grow, so will its impact. The community is expected to contribute an estimated $1.6 million to local education, parks, and conservation over the life of the project, helping strengthen New Braunfels for generations to come.

6) Stars and Stripes Half Marathon, 10K & 5K at Stars and Stripes Drive-In (Saturday, 6:30 AM) - Runners of all experience levels are invited to take on a half marathon, 10K, or 5K along a fast, flat course through scenic country roads.

15) 2nd Anniversary Poker Tournament at Comal Card Haus (Sunday, 3:30 PM) - Players can compete in a No-Limit Hold’em tournament featuring a guaranteed $10,000 prize pool.
