A creative fundraiser to support Kerr County flood victims
If you're looking for a fun way to give back this weekend, grab a seat at the easel for a great cause. Painting with a Twist is hosting a special Painting with a Purpose event this Saturday afternoon benefiting the Kerr County Relief Fund, which helps those impacted by recent flooding.
The class is open to ages 13 and up and led by instructor Lori, who will guide participants step-by-step through creating a 16x20 canvas painting—no art experience needed. It's not about perfection, it's about having fun while supporting an important cause.
All proceeds go directly to the fund, and you can even upgrade your experience by arriving early to create your own custom-scented candle. The event runs from 3:30 to 5:30 pm at Painting with a Twist (1551 N. Walnut Ave). Seats are limited and reservations are required, so don’t wait if you want in.

If the summer heat has you feeling worn out, we’ve put together something special: a new guide with the best ways to relax and recharge around New Braunfels.
From yoga classes in historical spaces and hiking to floating the river, booking a massage, or even joining a free sit-and-stitch session at the library, this town offers plenty of ways to find your calm again.
