First Friday’s Art Haus returns with local flair and creative energy

Downtown comes alive tonight with the return of Art Haus, a vibrant monthly pop-up art market curated by the Greater New Braunfels Art Council. From 6 to 9 pm, head to 263 Main Plaza to experience a rotating showcase of artists, handmade goods, and live creativity in the heart of our city.

Randy Rogers Band brings the party to Whitewater this weekend

There’s nothing quite like a summer night at Whitewater Amphitheater, and this Saturday, the legendary Randy Rogers Band is making it one to remember. Known for their signature Texas Country sound and high-energy shows, this San Marcos-founded group has become a staple in the state’s music scene for over two decades.

Gustav Hoffmann was New Braunfels’ first elected mayor in 1847—and also led a cavalry unit for the Confederacy during the Civil War. After the war, he was elected to the Texas Legislature and is buried right here in town.

🚗 School Parking Changes Aim to Improve Safety

With construction impacting New Braunfels High School and traffic concerns near Oak Creek Elementary, the City Council has approved new parking restrictions to improve safety and reduce congestion. Look for changes on Kentucky Boulevard and Arroyo Verde starting soon.

đŸ· Favorite Neighbor Grand Opening Next Weekend

The soft launch is over—Favorite Neighbor, the Euro-inspired wine and tapas bar, will celebrate its grand opening on Saturday, August 9 from 5 pm to midnight. Expect live music, wine tastings, sangria, and a giant paella to mark the occasion.

🚧 Conrads Lane Night Closures Ahead

Starting Sunday night, Conrads Lane will close nightly from 6 pm to 6 am through Tuesday for intersection upgrades near Goodwin Lane. The project aims to speed up construction and improve traffic flow, with all nearby businesses remaining open during the day.
