š Comal County Eyes Expanded Flood Siren System
Comal County could soon increase the number of flood sirens along River Road, thanks to grant funding from Senate Bill 3. Officials say the extra sirens would cover areas currently out of earshot, helping residents stay safe during heavy rains. Approval is expected soon, bringing extra peace of mind to flood-prone communities.
š° Comal County Approves $181M Budget and Raises Property Taxes
The countyās 2026 budget is set at $181 million, up from $162 million, with a new tax rate of 30.5 cents per $100 valuation. Funds will go toward roads, flood control, public safety, and future growth projects. Officials emphasize that even with the increase, Comal Countyās taxes remain among the lowest in Texas.
