10 days of sausage, polka, and nonstop German fun return to New Braunfels
Get ready, New BraunfelsāWurstfest 2025 is back November 7ā16 with an epic 10-day salute to sausage. This yearās festival promises unforgettable performances, lively dancing, and all the German-inspired food and beer you can handle along the scenic Comal River.
The 64th annual event will feature more than 250 performances across five stages, including Grammy-winning polka legend Jimmy Sturr, fan favorite Alex Meixner, local stars The Billie Jeans, and international groups like Munchholzhauser Blaskapelle from Braunfels, Germany. Opening ceremonies kick off November 7 with the iconic ābiting of the sausageā at 5:30 p.m.āa tradition you wonāt want to miss.
Beyond the music, festivalgoers can enjoy amusement rides, artisan vendors, and new additions like the permanent Wasserplatz pavilion and fresh food stalls. With special ticket pricing online (including free admission on select days), Wurstfest 2025 is set to draw hundreds of thousands for another unforgettable celebration.

The City is updating its long-term guide for streets, sidewalks, and bike lanes to better serve all residents. Public comments are open through October 15, and you can review the draft plan and share feedback online.

NBPD is looking for certified officers to join their team, offering starting pay of $69,451 plus bonuses. Lateral entry officers with three or more years of experience could earn up to $85,826. Applications close October 3, and the Civil Service Written Exam is October 18.
