Clean out clutter and protect your personal information with an eco-friendly shredding event

Clear out your old documents safely and responsibly at City Shred Day, happening this Saturday, October 4, 2025, from 8 a.m. to noon in the parking lot of New Braunfels City Hall.

In partnership with Gruene Shredding, the city invites residents to bring up to three bank-box-sized containers of papers to be shredded on-site, with cardboard boxes recycled.

Make sure to bring your state-issued ID and a current utility bill, and follow entry from Laurel Lane, exiting onto Walnut Avenue. Please note that electronics, hard drives, plastics, spiral notebooks, and metal objects cannot be accepted.

This is a free event for residents looking to declutter and stay secure while keeping the environment in mind.

Food, live music, shopping, and family fun await this fall festival

Join the fun at Fall-A-Palooza 2025 at Float In, a full-day celebration on weekends in October, starting this Saturday from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. Enjoy live music, art markets, vintage shopping, a pumpkin patch, and plenty of festival shenanigans along the beautiful Comal River. Kids under 12 and dogs attend free, and pre-purchased tickets are available online for discounted entry.
