A fun-filled Halloween market for all ages at Freiheit Country Store

Over 80 Texas clay artists showcase their craft in Gruene
The 33rd Annual Texas Clay Festival is back this Saturday and Sunday, bringing together over 80 Texas potters and clay artists in the historic Gruene District. From traditional pottery to innovative sculptural works, there’s something for every art enthusiast to admire—and take home.
Watch live demonstrations throughout the weekend, from mold-making and hand-building techniques to tile making and raku firing. Saturday and Sunday both feature a full roster of artists sharing their tips, tricks, and creative process, making this festival both inspiring and interactive.

Household Hazardous Waste Drop-Off in New Braunfels
Residents of New Braunfels and Comal County can safely dispose of household hazardous waste—including paint, automotive fluids, and cleaning chemicals—on Saturday, October 25, from 8 AM to 12 PM at City Hall. Bring a state-issued ID; commercial waste is not accepted.
Fire Station 7 Open House
Meet local firefighters, explore fire trucks, and tour Fire Station 7 this Saturday from 9–11 AM. Family-friendly activities include fire safety demonstrations, games with NBFD clowns, and a Junior Firefighter pledge ceremony. Sensory bags will be available for those who need them.
8th Annual N.B.B.A. Trunk or Treat
Bring the kids to Gruene Harley-Davidson on Saturday, October 25, from 12–4 PM for free candy, chili cheese dogs, and costume contests. Winners of the adult contest can score a $100 GHD gift card, and kids can win baskets of goodies.
Das Rec Fee Assistance Program

New Braunfels Senior Expo Returns November 4*
Seniors and caregivers, mark your calendars — the New Braunfels Senior Expo is coming to the Civic/Convention Center on Tuesday, November 4, from 9 am to 3 pm. The area’s largest senior-focused event will feature health and wellness screenings, financial planning experts, and local lifestyle resources designed to help residents stay active, informed, and connected. Attendees can enjoy free admission, hourly giveaways, and activities like bingo, yoga, and windowsill gardening workshops — plus complimentary vision and hearing screenings throughout the day. Free parking is available at the convention center, and New Braunfels Mobility will provide shuttle pickup from the Knights of Columbus Hall at 111 Landa St.
Newman & Company Expands Into a Stunning New Space*
One of New Braunfels’ favorite med spas is getting an upgrade. Newman & Company, founded by Rhi Newman in 2015, is getting ready to move into a brand-new 5,400-square-foot facility at 617 Gruene Road, designed to bring luxury, innovation, and comfort together under one roof. The new space will feature more treatment rooms, a cozy guest lounge with a fireplace and snack bar, and even a post-treatment makeup bar—plus expanded retail space for skincare products. The team expects to move to the new space soon while continuing to serve clients at their current Elliott Knox Blvd. location.
