Celebrate the spirit of Dia de los Muertos with Texas’ original Tex-Mex Honky Tonk band!
Get ready for a night of music, dancing, and celebration as the Tejas Brothers take the stage Friday night at Gruene Hall. Doors open at 7 pm, with the Squeezebox Bandits kicking things off at 8 pm and the Tejas Brothers performing at 9:30 pm.
Known for their high-energy shows and irresistible Tex-Mex flair, the Tejas Brothers have been captivating audiences since 2006. Expect spirited rhythms, heartfelt lyrics, and plenty of dance floor fun in one unforgettable evening.

Cheer on your favorite four-legged racers at this family-favorite event!
The 2025 Dachshund Race Series is back at Krause’s Cafe on Sunday, November 2, from 2 pm to 5 pm. Doors open at 1 pm, giving you plenty of time to grab a good spot. Tickets are $7 for ages 5 and up, and race registration is $15 per dog (includes two admission tickets for the owners).
Join the fun with medals for race winners and best-dressed pups, and help support the Humane Society of the New Braunfels Area with food and supply donations. Krause’s Cafe is located at 148 S Castell Ave, New Braunfels, TX.

⚽ Manchester School of Soccer Brings Futsal Camps to New Braunfels
Aspiring young players can sharpen their footwork this holiday season as the Manchester School of Soccer launches its Summer Futsal Camps at Das Rec Green Gym. 📚 NBISD Reopens Secondary School Libraries
After a brief closure to review materials under a new state law, the New Braunfels ISD Board has voted to reopen all middle and high school libraries. Students can once again check out books as of this past Monday, October 27, as the district balances compliance with maintaining access to reading materials.
🚗 Residents Push Back on Downtown Paid Parking Policy
A petition with over 1,600 signatures is challenging New Braunfels’ downtown paid parking system. Locals are calling for free parking passes for residents, arguing they’re being “double taxed.” The city says it will revisit the policy in February after reviewing public feedback and data from the program’s first months.
🚌 ‘Ride the Rio!’ Microtransit Service Launching in November
Getting around town is about to get easier — and greener. The City of New Braunfels will soon roll out Ride the Rio!, a new on-demand microtransit service covering 47 miles of the city. Riders can book trips via app or phone, with service available daily from 7 a.m. to 8 p.m.
