IN PARTNERSHIP WITH

Happy Thursday morning, New Braunfels! The weekend is so close you can almost taste it. And speaking of tasting it, did you know National Margarita Day is this Sunday? We’ll tell you about a really great way to celebrate it, plus some other fun stuff happening around town in the coming days.

Do you own a business that could use a boost? Email us at [email protected] to learn about our advertising options to reach New Braunfels’ fastest growing audience.

As New Braunfels grows, so does traffic on our roads, and the risks that come with it. Texas ranks among the highest in the nation for deadly crashes, with distracted driving remaining one of the leading causes. When an accident happens, the aftermath can feel overwhelming.

That’s why we partner with The Kyle Law Firm, a trusted New Braunfels legal team serving the Hill Country for more than 25 years. Founded in 1999, the firm is known for its trial experience, hands-on approach, and commitment to helping individuals and families navigate serious accident and injury cases with clarity and confidence.

Historic Voigt House transforms into an Irish pub with speakeasy and live music

After months of anticipation, Kennedy’s Tavern has officially set a new opening date for the outdoor portion of its bar for March 13 at 308 E. San Antonio St., just in time for St. Patrick’s weekend.

The initial phase will include the outdoor bar, live music stage, food truck, fire pits, and restrooms, while the interior tavern will open at a later date.

The new Irish pub is set to be housed inside the historic 1870 Voigt House, a registered Texas Historic Landmark carefully renovated to preserve its character while introducing a lively new hospitality concept, but the indoor part of the bar won’t open until a later date.

Once open, guests can expect 25 beers on tap, a wide selection of whiskies, original recipe Irish coffee, hearty Irish fare, and classic pub favorites. The space will also feature the Emerald Room, an intimate 25-seat speakeasy with a hidden entrance, plus outdoor seating with live music and fire pits at the Tree Bar.
