A spring shopping tradition filled with local finds and good vibes

If you’re in the mood to browse, shop, and support local businesses, the New Braunfels Spring Market is back this Friday and Saturday at the New Braunfels Convention Center. This annual event brings together a wide variety of vendors offering everything from handmade crafts and home décor to boutique fashion, gifts, and seasonal treats.

Shopping hours run Friday from 4:00–8:00 PM and Saturday from 9:00 AM–5:00 PM, with $5 admission (good for both days) and free parking. It’s the perfect excuse to grab your friends, explore something new, and enjoy a fun spring outing while supporting small businesses.

A unique way to celebrate National Poetry Month

April is National Poetry Month, and the New Braunfels Public Library is celebrating with its annual Blackout Poetry Contest running April 1–14. Participants can pick up a kit at either the Main or Westside Library, complete with book pages and materials to create their own blackout poetry masterpiece.

Entries are open to all ages, with categories for adults, teens, and children. Winners will be announced on April 20 and will have their artwork displayed at both library branches. It’s a simple, creative way to try something new and get involved in the community.

The City of New Braunfels is working toward a big goal: Vision Zero by 2040. That means safer roads for everyone through better street design, smarter speed management, improved bike infrastructure, and added safety measures in high-risk areas, all aimed at reducing serious injuries and traffic deaths to zero over time.

But even with progress, accidents can still happen. If you ever find yourself dealing with the aftermath of a crash, having the right support matters. Our partners at Kyle Law Firm are here to help guide you through the process and make sure you’re taken care of every step of the way.
