🎉 Tube Chute Race, Car Show & Free Kids Fun
IN PARTNERSHIP WITH
Good morning, New Braunfels! Thursday’s here, and the weekend is already shaping up to be packed with some seriously fun (and unique) things to do around town, from a one-of-a-kind cardboard boat race down the Tube Chute to a car show supporting local families and a free, hands-on spring activity for kids.

More and more locals are moving away from rushed appointments and turning to a more personalized kind of care. Dr. Jason Nelson, who’s been serving New Braunfels families for over 25 years, now offers an MDVIP-affiliated practice focused on prevention, deeper relationships, and actually giving patients the time they deserve.
With a perfect 5-star rating across 100+ reviews and recognition as a “Patients Top Choice” physician by U.S. News & World Report, his approach is clearly making an impact. If you’re looking for more access, better insight, and a true partner in your long-term health, this is care designed around you.

A high-energy local tradition that’s as fun to watch as it is to compete in
Thru the Chute returns this Saturday morning at the City Tube Chute, bringing one of New Braunfels’ most unique and entertaining traditions back to the water. Teams will launch their handmade cardboard boats down the chute, racing for glory while crowds cheer them on from the sidelines.
In-person spectator tickets are already sold out, but you can still catch all the action through live streams and watch parties happening across town at spots like Float In, Krause’s Cafe, Scores Sports Bar, and The Courthouse. It’s a creative, chaotic, and can’t-miss event that always delivers.

Classic cars, community, and a meaningful cause all in one place
Steve’s Pantry’s 3rd Annual Car Show is happening this Saturday from 10:00 AM to 1:00 PM at Gruene United Methodist Church, bringing together classic and exotic cars for a great cause. With free entry for spectators, it’s a great way to spend the morning with family and friends.
Beyond the cars, the event supports local families in need, with all proceeds going toward food for Steve’s Pantry. There will be music from DJ Gil, People’s Choice awards, and opportunities to donate food items, making it a feel-good event with real impact.

If you’re planning a wedding, this is the event you don’t want to skip. The Wedding Fair Show is taking over the New Braunfels Civic Center this Sunday, April 12 from 12–4 PM, bringing together 70+ top vendors all in one place, from venues and photographers to catering, fashion, and more.
Expect runway shows, exclusive deals, and tons of inspiration to help you plan your big day without the stress. Plus, one lucky bride will win diamond stud earrings valued at $2,750, along with other giveaways throughout the event.
