IN PARTNERSHIP WITH
Happy Thursday! Can you feel it? The weekend is allllmosssst here!
If you’re looking for something different to do, today’s lineup’s got range — from a one-of-a-kind underground yoga experience to a classic car event and a feel-good community cleanup. Read on to see what’s worth checking out around New Braunfels right now.

Comal County is doing a lot right, with a life expectancy nearly three years higher than the national average, it’s clearly a great place to live. But one stat stands out: a higher percentage of residents here are uninsured compared to the rest of the U.S., which can quickly become a problem when unexpected medical needs come up.
If finding health insurance has felt confusing or out of reach, Penn Mallery makes it simple. He helps individuals, families, and small businesses build affordable, custom PPO plans with nationwide coverage and year-round enrollment — no pressure, just real guidance from a local expert.

A one-of-a-kind yoga and sound bath 180 feet below ground
Switch up your usual routine and head underground for a calming Earth Day experience at Natural Bridge Caverns. This all-levels yoga and sound bath takes place in the cavern’s ballroom, creating a setting that’s honestly hard to beat. Led by Winzer Van Delden, the session combines gentle flow with a relaxing sound bath to fully reset your mind and body.
Your morning also includes a guided walk through the Hidden Cavern, which alone is usually worth the trip. With limited spots available and a unique setting you won’t find anywhere else nearby, this is one of those experiences that’s actually worth booking ahead.

A three-day event packed with cars, vendors, and local tradition
If you’re into cars or just want something easy to walk through and check out, the 34th Annual New Braunfels Area Car Club Swap Meet is back at the Comal County Fairgrounds. Running April 17–19, this long-standing event brings together classic cars, vendors, and collectors from all over.
Gates open at 8 AM daily, giving you plenty of time to browse, connect, and maybe even find something worth taking home. Whether you’re a serious enthusiast or just casually curious, it’s a solid way to spend part of your day.

Give back, then cool off with games and a swim
If you want to do something that actually feels good, this community cleanup at Hinman Island Park is worth your time. The event starts with a group effort to clean up the river area, making a real impact after a busy week on the water.
After that, it shifts into a more relaxed vibe with family-friendly activities like water games, prizes, and a swim in the Comal River. With supplies, snacks, and drinks provided, all you really need to do is show up and be part of it.

DID YOU KNOW?
Ferdinand Lindheimer, known as the “Father of Texas Botany,” collected and identified up to 100,000 plant specimens across Texas.

One of spring’s best events is getting ready to return soon. Mayfest Festival & Home Tour returns on Saturday, May 9th in Midtown at Mayfair, bringing together live music, local food, refreshing drinks, and a full afternoon of family-friendly fun. It’s the kind of event that actually feels like spring — easy, lively, and worth showing up for.
Beyond the festival, you’ll get to explore beautifully designed model homes from a range of talented builders and check out the local market inside the newly opened Celebration Hall. Whether you’re going for the vibes, the homes, or just something different to do, this is one you don’t want to miss.

Giving back isn’t just a nice idea at Window World, it’s part of how they operate. Through their charitable foundation, Window World Cares, they’ve raised around $20 million for St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital since 2008, supporting children and families across the country.
Right here in New Braunfels, the locally-owned Window World TX is also part of the mission, contributing through local and nationwide efforts that go far beyond windows and home projects. It’s a real example of a business using its reach to create meaningful impact.
