A full day of Texas fun, live music, and community tradition

The Uptown Gruene Patty Fling is back on Saturday, and this year’s event is celebrating the 50th anniversary of saving the iconic Gruene water tower. What started as a unique local tradition has turned into one of the area’s most memorable community events.

Expect cow patty tossing, a petting zoo, face painting, vendors, food, live music, mechanical bull rides, and plenty of classic Texas energy throughout the day. Even better, all proceeds benefit the Canyon High School FFA Booster Club, helping support local students and their future.

A relaxed day of shopping, gifts, and spring vibes

If you still need Mother’s Day plans, this might be the easiest win of the weekend. The Mother’s Day Market at Freiheit Country Store is happening Saturday from 11:00 AM to 4:00 PM with local vendors, handmade goods, boutique shopping, and plenty of one-of-a-kind finds.

Whether you’re shopping for mom, spending time with friends, or just looking for an excuse to browse and hang out, it’s the kind of laid-back event that’s easy to enjoy for a few hours.

If you’ve been looking for something fun to do with the kids, go ahead and mark this event down for Saturday. Mayfest is bringing a full day of family-friendly fun with train rides, inflatables, crafts, face painting, and plenty more to keep the little ones entertained.

Meanwhile, parents can kick back with food, drinks, and live music nearby, making it an easy win for everyone involved. Simple, local, and actually fun for all ages.

Led by Dr. Jared Smith alongside PTA Joe Daniels, the team helps patients recover from injuries, manage chronic pain, improve mobility, and get back to doing the things they enjoy.
