IN PARTNERSHIP WITH
Good morning, New Braunfels.
Wow, we had quite the night last night! In case you missed it, last night was the second edition of The New Braunfels Life Dinner Club. The event sold out with 150 people meeting up at 13 different restaurants around town to enjoy a meal with a table of new friends. Afterwards, folks from all of the groups met at The Phoenix for our afterparty where they got to meet even more new friends.
The event was a huge success, and signups for our next Dinner Club on June 24th are already filling up fast. So, if you’re interested in meeting new people, you can click here to learn more and sign up.
Thursday is here, and the weekend is already starting to take shape around town. From unique competitions and relaxing wellness events to exciting new local spots getting ready to open, we’ve rounded up a few stories and happenings worth checking out as we head toward the weekend.

DWI arrests in New Braunfels climbed to 817 in 2025, marking a 20% increase as local law enforcement continues increasing patrols and enforcement efforts to help keep roads safe. It’s a strong reminder that impaired driving remains a serious issue and why having a plan for a sober ride home matters more than ever.
Our partners at Kyle Law Firm encourage everyone to make safe, responsible choices before getting behind the wheel. But if the unexpected happens, their team is here to help guide people through the legal process with experienced support and local knowledge.

The traditional German bier stein holding contest returns to New Braunfels
A beloved Bavarian tradition is back at Krause’s Cafe as the 2026 Masskrugstemmen season kicks off this summer with an event this Saturday. The competition challenges participants to hold a full liter stein of German beer straight out in front of them for as long as possible, with the last person standing crowned the winner. Events will take place throughout the summer, leading up to the finals on August 1.
The competition is open to both men and women, with finalists competing for a prize package that includes a weekend trip to New York City complete with airfare, hotel accommodations, and VIP experiences.
Registration begins at 7:00 PM in the Biergarten, with the contest running from 8:00–9:00 PM at Krause’s Cafe in New Braunfels.

A calming monthly yoga experience inside the New Braunfels Public Library this Sunday
The New Braunfels Public Library is offering a unique way to unwind with Literary Flow – Yoga for Book Lovers, a gentle yoga class this Sunday afternoon designed for adults looking to relax, stretch, and recharge in a peaceful environment. Led by instructor Kaislie Shepherd, the sessions focus on mindful movement and stress relief while welcoming all experience levels.
Held monthly inside the Main Library Meeting Room, the program encourages guests to bring their own yoga mats and enjoy an hour of quiet movement surrounded by the calm atmosphere of the library. It’s a refreshing way to slow down and reconnect before the busy summer season arrives.

Looking for live music plans this weekend? Our partners at Happy Cow Bar have you covered with two nights of Texas music in New Braunfels. Catch Chad Miller & The Good Fortune on Friday night, then come back for another laid-back Hill Country night with Tanner Menegay on Saturday.

Between cedar fever, humidity, dust, and allergens, indoor air quality in the Hill Country can take a bigger toll on daily health than many people realize. In fact, the air inside your home can sometimes be more polluted than the air outside, especially when buildup starts circulating through vents and ductwork.
That’s why homeowners turn to our partners at Rise Service Company for solutions like hospital-grade air purification, high-efficiency filtration systems, and professional duct cleaning. If your home feels dusty, triggers allergies, or just doesn’t feel as fresh as it should, their team can help create a cleaner, healthier space where you can truly breathe easier.

HUNTER ROAD COUNTRY CLUB IS OPENING THIS SUMMER
A new community-focused restaurant and bar is coming to New Braunfels

A new locally owned hangout called Hunter Road Country Club is preparing to open this summer in New Braunfels, but despite the name, owners say this isn’t a country club. The upcoming restaurant and bar is being created as a welcoming gathering space for both locals and visitors, complete with pool tables, darts, a patio bar, and a laid-back atmosphere.
Owned by brothers Seth and Chase Katz along with Benjie Ackerman, the venue will also be family-friendly until 7:00 PM. Located on FM 306, the new spot aims to bring together food, drinks, games, and community in a relaxed Hill Country setting.
