Happy Thursday, New Braunfels!

Wow, we had a ton of fun last night! In case you missed it, last night was the third edition of The New Braunfels Life Dinner Club. The event sold out with 175 people meeting up at 12 different restaurants around town to enjoy a meal with a table of new friends. Afterwards, folks from all of the groups met at Muck & Fuss’ Biergarten for our afterparty where they got to meet even more new friends.

The event was a huge success, and signups for our next Dinner Club on July 29th are already filling up fast. So, if you’re interested in meeting new people, you can click here to learn more and sign up.

Now, let’s get into some more things happening around town…

Looking for live music plans this weekend? Our partners at Happy Cow Bar have you covered with back-to-back performances from two talented Texas artists.

On Friday night, catch Bo Moore, a rising Texas singer-songwriter known for his authentic storytelling, strong vocals, and country sound rooted in the traditions of Texas music. Whether he's performing heartfelt ballads or crowd-pleasing favorites, Bo has built a reputation for delivering memorable live shows that connect with audiences.

Then on Saturday, Canaan Bryce takes the stage. Known for his high-energy blend of Texas country, southern rock, and classic rock influences, he has shared stages with major artists including Parker McCollum, Koe Wetzel, Bret Michaels, and Wynonna Judd. His signature "Texas rock and roll" sound has earned him a loyal following across the state and makes for an unforgettable live performance.

Pair the music with cold drinks, great food, and one of New Braunfels' favorite local hangouts, and you've got the perfect recipe for a summer weekend.

A beloved Bavarian tradition returns with bragging rights, prizes, and a chance to win a trip to New York City.

Think holding a beer doesn't sound difficult? Try extending a full one-liter stein straight out in front of you and keeping it there as long as possible. That's the challenge behind Masskrugstemmen, a classic German strength competition returning to Krause's Cafe this weekend.

The contest has become a favorite tradition for participants and spectators alike, combining friendly competition, plenty of laughs, and a taste of authentic German culture right here in New Braunfels. Men and women compete separately, with the last person standing—or rather, holding—earning a victory stein and a spot in the season finals.

This year's stakes are especially high. The top competitors from each qualifying event will advance to the August finals, where winners will earn an incredible prize package that includes a weekend trip to New York City complete with airfare, hotel accommodations, and VIP experiences.

Whether you're ready to test your strength or simply want to watch others battle gravity one shaking arm at a time, this is one of the most entertaining events happening around town this weekend.
