🍺 Splash Pad Guide, Songwriter's Night & Krause's Finals

IN PARTNERSHIP WITH

Happy Thursday, New Braunfels!

In case you missed it, last night was the fourth edition of The New Braunfels Life Dinner Club, and it was EPIC. The event sold out with 200 people meeting up at 13 different restaurants around town to enjoy a meal with a table of new friends. Afterwards, folks from all of the groups met at Muck & Fuss’ Biergarten for our afterparty where they got to meet even more new friends.

The event was a huge success, and signups for our next Dinner Club on August 26th are already filling up fast. So, if you’re interested in meeting new people, you can click here to learn more and sign up.

Now, let’s get into some more things happening around town…

Our partners at Little Land New Braunfels are making it easy to support local classrooms with their School Supply Drive, happening now through July 31. Simply drop off new school supplies at Little Land, and you'll receive one raffle entry for every donated item for a chance to win a FREE Music or Art drop-in class!

Whether you're already shopping for back-to-school essentials or just want to give back, every donation helps local teachers prepare their classrooms and sets students up for success. It's a small act that can make a big impact in our community.

Our favorite places to cool off with the family this summer

When the Texas sun is blazing, there's nothing better than finding a place where the whole family can cool off. We've rounded up the best splash pads and kid-friendly water attractions in and around New Braunfels, from free neighborhood favorites to full-scale water playgrounds worth the short drive.

Whether you're planning a quick afternoon outing or an all-day adventure, you'll find plenty of options to keep everyone entertained this summer.

Original songs, talented artists, and an intimate listening-room experience

Tonight (and just about every Thursday night), local songwriters and music fans are invited to The Redbird Listening Room for Songwriter's Night. Doors open at 6:00 p.m., performances begin at 7:00 p.m., and guests can enjoy an evening of original music, storytelling, and live performances in a relaxed listening-room atmosphere.

Whether you're a songwriter yourself or simply enjoy discovering local talent, this weekly gathering offers a unique opportunity to experience the creativity of local artists. Guests are welcome to bring their own beverages, and a suggested $10 donation helps support the venue and performers.

Summer in New Braunfels is meant to be enjoyed, not spent dealing with aches, pains, or injuries. Our partners at Texas Physical Therapy Specialists provide personalized, evidence-based care to help you recover from injuries, reduce knee or back pain, and get back to the activities you love with confidence.

Whether you're hitting the trails, floating the Comal, keeping up with the kids, or simply wanting to move without discomfort, their experienced team is here to help. With four convenient New Braunfels locations, expert care is always close by.

Our partners at the New Braunfels Railroad Museum are inviting young train enthusiasts ages 7–12 to explore the exciting world of model railroading during their Model Train Workshop, happening August 6–8. Through hands-on activities, kids will learn the basics of track laying, create realistic scenery, and discover weathering techniques that bring miniature railroads to life.

Whether your child already loves trains or simply enjoys building and creating, this interactive workshop is a fun way to develop new skills, make new friends, and inspire a lifelong hobby. Space is limited, so early registration is encouraged.

Watch competitors battle for a trip to the national finals in New York City

On Saturday, August 1, head to Krause's Cafe for the exciting Masskrugstemmen Finals, where finalists will compete in the traditional German stein-holding contest for a chance to represent Krause's at the National Finals in New York City.

Competitors will test their strength by holding a full one-liter beer stein straight out in front of them for as long as possible. The men's and women's champions will each win airfare, hotel accommodations, VIP treatment, and a weekend trip to New York City.
