A fun morning of fishing, learning, and outdoor exploration at Fischer Park

This Wednesday, August 5, at 9 AM, tweens are invited to Fischer Park for this month's Tween Nature Course, where the theme is Fishing. Participants will enjoy hands-on activities while learning new outdoor skills, connecting with nature, and making new friends in a welcoming environment.

Designed specifically for tweens, the monthly program encourages curiosity and confidence through fun, nature-based experiences that get kids outside and engaged.

Our partners at Massage Heights New Braunfels are making a real difference in local classrooms. Thanks to the generosity of their team and community, they recently donated more than $1,500 in classroom supplies to 28 teachers across 24 Comal ISD and New Braunfels ISD schools.

Create your own cheese during this hands-on class at Otto's Cheese Shop

On Wednesday night at 6:30 PM, Otto's Cheese Shop is hosting a hands-on Mozzarella Making Class, where participants will learn how to stretch, shape, and craft fresh mozzarella from scratch. Along the way, you'll also discover cheesemaking techniques and the science behind creating this classic favorite.

The class lasts approximately 60–90 minutes, and each participant will take home the mozzarella they make. Whether you're a foodie or simply looking to try something new, it's a delicious way to spend your evening.

Sophienburg Hill was originally platted in 1856 around the site of the original Sophienburg Fort. Many of the homes along Academy Avenue and Hill Street are nearly a century old. Most were built before 1930 and showcase architectural styles that were popular during New Braunfels' early growth.
