SCHLITTERBAHN HIRING 2,200+ FOR 2026 SEASON
Schlitterbahn New Braunfels is hiring more than 2,200 seasonal and part-time team members and hosting a Virtual Hiring Week from February 13ā22. Positions range from aquatics to food service, with paid training, flexible schedules, and free park admission among the perks.
NEW MURAL TAKING SHAPE AT WESTSIDE LIBRARY
A large-scale mural is being created at the Westside Library as part of the McKenna Foundationās Choose Kindness initiative. Designed by local muralist Johnny Duncan, the artwork highlights the West Endās history and will soon serve as a colorful welcome visible from the highway.
SANCTUARY CELLARS SET TO OPEN THIS SUMMER
Sanctuary Cellars is under construction in the Vintage Oaks area at 6190 FM 2722, with a projected June opening. The nearly 1,600-square-foot tasting venue will focus on Texas High Plains grapes, sustainability, and wildlife preservation.
FOOD TRUCK EXTENDS WEEKEND HOURS
A local food truck is now staying open until 7 pm on Fridays and Saturdays, offering a little extra time for weekend visitors to grab a bite.
SCHOOL HOLIDAY REMINDER
Students will be off Friday, February 13, and Monday, February 16, with staff observing Monday as a holiday. Classes resume Tuesday, February 17.
