The opening marks the launch of a new community space designed for local students to gather, learn, and participate in organized programs.

DID YOU KNOW?

Founded in 1871, The Phoenix Saloon made history as the first bar in Texas to serve women. In an era when it was considered improper for a lady to enter a saloon, the owners created a clever solution — a beer garden out back with a bell hanging from a tree. Women could ring for service, enjoying a drink without ever stepping inside.

The Texas Hill Country Game Fair is coming back to Joshua Creek Ranch on June 12–13, bringing together outdoor enthusiasts, sporting brands, and conservation supporters for a weekend built around the Hill Country lifestyle. Hosted in partnership with the San Antonio Rodeo Wildlife & Natural Resources Committee, this year’s event will feature an expanded vendor village, a gamebird simulation shooting competition, and a special Friday night “Game Changer” experience.

The event supports conservation initiatives and youth education programs, and organizers are currently inviting sporting brands, sponsors, and partners to get involved. If your brand connects with the outdoor community, this is a great opportunity to showcase it to a passionate audience.
