Good morning and Happy Tuesday, New Braunfels! The New Braunfels Senior Expo returns on Wednesday, April 29, bringing together everything you need in one place. A hands-on culinary experience set in a scenic vineyard takes place tonight
Step into something different this week with Cooking at the Vineyard – Flavors of Jerusalem, happening tonight from 6-8 PM at Dry Comal Creek Vineyards. Led by Nicole and her team, this interactive class brings bold, vibrant dishes to life while teaching techniques you can actually take home and use.
Set against the relaxed backdrop of the vineyard, it’s more than just a class—it’s an experience. Whether you’re a seasoned home cook or just looking to try something new, it’s a fun and flavorful way to spend your evening.

A cozy morning of coffee, crafts, and conversation
If your ideal morning involves coffee, creativity, and good conversation, Kaffeeklatsch at the Sophienburg Museum and Archives is worth checking out. Taking place Wednesday morning from 9:00 AM to 10:30 AM, this monthly gathering is inspired by the classic German tradition of connecting over coffee and a sweet treat.
Each session includes a simple seasonal craft—this time featuring crepe paper baskets with flowers—making it an easy, low-pressure way to get creative while enjoying a welcoming, social atmosphere.

Turn your favorite pet photo into a one-of-a-kind painting at this guided Paint Your Pet class on Sunday, April 19 from 3:30–6:30 PM. Your pet will be pre-sketched onto a 16x20 canvas, and you’ll get step-by-step instruction to bring it to life — no experience needed. Whether it’s your dog, cat, or even something a little more unique, this is your chance to create something personal (and actually cute).
Hosted at Painting with a Twist in New Braunfels, this laid-back class is perfect for ages 13+ and makes for a fun solo activity or a creative day out with friends. It’s one of their most popular classes, so you’ll want to reserve your seat ASAP. You can even bring your own snacks and drinks to make it a full vibe.

A family-friendly event focused on conservation and giving back
Earth Day is going big this year in New Braunfels. This Saturday from 9:00 AM to 12:00 PM, head to Headwaters at the Comal for the Annual Community Earth Day & Arbor Day Celebration, where over 1,000 native Texas trees will be given away for free.
Along with the tree giveaway, you’ll find educational exhibits, local vendors, and opportunities to learn more about conservation efforts in the community. It’s a great way to spend your morning outdoors while supporting something that benefits the city long-term.
