🀄 Mahjong Night, Learn D&D & Watch Frozen Downtown

IN PARTNERSHIP WITH

Good morning, New Braunfels! If you're looking for something a little different this week, today's featured stories are packed with unique ways to get involved, meet new people, and have some fun around town. From learning a new game and trying tabletop adventures to enjoying a family movie night downtown, there's something for every age and interest.

If you live in New Braunfels, hard water can take a toll on more than just your dishes. Over time, mineral buildup can lead to dry skin, dull hair, clogged fixtures, reduced appliance efficiency, and expensive repairs throughout your home.

That's why so many Hill Country homeowners trust Aqua-Man Water Conditioning. For more than 30 years, their team has been designing custom water treatment systems built specifically for the unique water conditions in our area, helping families protect their homes, appliances, and everyday comfort.

An evening of games, community, and fun for all skill levels

Mahjong has seen a resurgence in popularity across the country, and now New Braunfels residents have a chance to join in the fun. Mahjong @ The Museum returns to the Sophienburg Museum and Archives on June 9 from 5:30 PM to 8:30 PM, offering an evening of games, conversation, and community connection.

Participants can choose between Open Play for experienced players or Mahjong 101 for beginners looking to learn the fundamentals. The event is designed to be welcoming and accessible to all skill levels, making it a great opportunity to meet new people while supporting one of New Braunfels' most important cultural organizations.

A beginner-friendly introduction to tabletop roleplaying

The New Braunfels Public Library is helping adults explore the growing world of tabletop gaming through its new Hobby Haus series. On June 10 from 6:00 PM to 7:30 PM, participants can take part in a beginner-friendly Dungeons & Dragons one-shot adventure designed specifically for newcomers.

No prior experience is required. Library staff will guide players through the basics while introducing collaborative storytelling, roleplaying, and gameplay mechanics in a welcoming environment. It's a great opportunity to try D&D without investing in books, supplies, or complicated rule systems.

Our partner Royce Staley is celebrating one year of helping New Braunfels residents turn their travel dreams into reality. Summer is heating up in the Hill Country, and your AC is about to enter its busiest season. The best time to catch a problem isn't during a 100-degree heat wave. It's before one starts.

Our partners at Rise Service Company offer comprehensive AC tune-ups that include a 21-point inspection, coil cleaning, refrigerant checks, electrical testing, and more to help identify small issues before they become costly repairs. A little preventative maintenance now can help keep your home cool, comfortable, and running efficiently all summer long.
