This week's lineup has a little bit of everything—from interactive brunches and live music competitions to a nostalgic movie night the whole family can enjoy. Whether you're planning a night out or a weekend adventure, we've got you covered.
If you're a fan of Texas Country and Red Dirt music, make plans for Galleywinter River Jam at Happy Cow Bar & Grill this Saturday, July 11. The evening features a lineup of rising artists, kicking off with an acoustic song swap from Presley Haile, Nick Brumley, Race Ricketts, and Nyles, followed by a full-band performance from The Smokin' Oaks.
The Smokin' Oaks bring even more Texas music roots to the stage, featuring the son and nephew of Cross Canadian Ragweed guitarist Grady Cross. It's shaping up to be one of the can't-miss live music events of the weekend.

One of New Braunfels' most entertaining brunch experiences is back this weekend
Wildside's July Sing Along Brunch returns on Saturday, July 11, from 11:00 AM to 2:00 PM, bringing together music, brunch, themed cocktails, and nonstop fun. Hosted by DJ ReRe, the event invites guests to sing along to favorite hits while enjoying a lively atmosphere that's become a local favorite.
Known for selling out, this interactive brunch offers a unique way to spend a Saturday with friends while enjoying great food, drinks, and plenty of crowd participation.
Nine talented songwriters. One stage. One winner
The 9th Songwriter's Showcase takes place tonight from 7-10 PM at Gruene Grove, where nine local and regional artists will compete for a professional recording session at Gruene Studios and additional industry prizes.
The audience plays an important role in the competition, helping decide the winner with their applause and cheers. It's a great opportunity to discover emerging talent while enjoying an evening of original music.
Looking for something different this summer? Joshua Creek Ranch in Boerne is bringing back its popular Helice Night Shoot, where shooters enjoy an evening that begins during the Golden Hour and continues after dark with glow-in-the-dark targets under the Texas sky. Your $75 entry includes practice rounds, the competition, a buffet, snacks, beverages, and the chance to win prizes.
Whether you're an experienced shooter or simply looking for a memorable night out, this is an event unlike anything else in the Hill Country,, and it’s worth the short drive to Boerne. Only two dates remain: July 16 and August 13, $75 entry, Buffet, snacks, and drinks included

The Brauntex Performing Arts Theatre continues its Summer Cinema series with a screening of High School Musical on Wednesday night at 6:30 PM. Sponsored by the Texas Commission on the Arts and presented in partnership with Popbelly's Popcorn, the family-friendly movie night brings the beloved Disney musical back to theaters.
