Food, hands-on activities, and outdoor learning come together for a fun community evening
The Second Annual Indoor Family Picnic returns to the McKenna Center on Tuesday, July 14, offering families a free evening of food, interactive activities, and nature-themed fun. Hosted by Comal Conservation in partnership with the Hill Country Chapter of the Texas Children in Nature Network, the event encourages kids and adults to explore the wildlife, land, and waterways that make Comal County so special.
With engaging hands-on experiences and plenty of opportunities to learn together, it's a great way to spend an evening while connecting with your community.
Coffee, cake, crafts, and conversation make for a relaxing midweek tradition
Take a break from your routine during Kaffeeklatsch at the Sophienburg Museum and Archives on Wednesday morning. This monthly gathering invites guests to enjoy coffee, cake, and a creative craft project while spending time with old friends and meeting new ones in a welcoming atmosphere.
Each session features a different handmade craft, and this month's activity is beaded flowers. Admission includes craft supplies, coffee, and cake, making it a fun and relaxing way to start your morning.
If you're looking for a delicious dinner that won't break the bank, head over to our partners at Happy Cow Bar for their popular Tuesday Steak Night. For just $16, you'll get a juicy NY Strip steak from Granzin's Meat Market served with a baked potato.

A colorful family movie night is coming to the Brauntex
The Brauntex Performing Arts Theatre continues its popular Summer Cinema series with a screening of Trolls (2016) on Wednesday night. Follow Poppy and Branch on their musical adventure as they set out to rescue their friends in one of DreamWorks' most beloved animated films.
Sponsored by the Texas Commission on the Arts in partnership with Popbelly's Popcorn, this family-friendly evening is a great way to enjoy a classic movie in one of New Braunfels' most iconic theaters.
