Learn the basics, meet new people, and have a blast on the dance floor

Looking for a fun way to spend your Tuesday evening? Swing Junction is hosting its weekly swing dance classes at The Attic Dance Hall every Tuesday, welcoming dancers of all ages and experience levels. Whether you've never danced before or you're looking to sharpen your moves, there's a class designed just for you.

The evening begins with an intermediate Lindy Hop and variety class from 6:30 to 7:30 p.m., followed by a beginner-friendly swing and Lindy Hop class from 7:30 to 8:30 p.m. With great music, a welcoming atmosphere, and plenty of friendly faces, it's a fantastic opportunity to learn a new skill while having fun.

Celebrate one of New Braunfels' oldest traditions with bowling, prizes, and community fun

One of New Braunfels' most beloved traditions is celebrating another milestone. On Saturday, August 1, Freiheit Bowling Club will host its 116th Anniversary Celebration, inviting the community to enjoy a day of historic nine-pin bowling, raffle prizes, silent auctions, and plenty of small-town charm.

Guests can participate in multiple bowling shifts throughout the day, learn about joining the upcoming fall league, and experience a piece of New Braunfels history that's been bringing people together for more than a century. Whether you're an experienced bowler or simply curious about this local tradition, it's a fun event for all ages.

Kids can paint a sweet summertime masterpiece during this special afternoon activity

On Wednesday at 2:00 p.m., McKenna Children's Museum is adding a creative twist to summer with its Paint & Play event. Young artists will learn how to paint a colorful ice cream cone while enjoying an afternoon of hands-on fun.

The activity is included with regular museum admission while supplies last, making it an easy and affordable family outing. It's a great way to encourage creativity while giving kids another reason to enjoy one of New Braunfels' favorite children's destinations.
