We've rounded up a few local events worth adding to your calendar, from a family-friendly scavenger hunt to a poolside community mixer and a fun challenge for athletes of all levels.

Swim, bike, and run your way to a new personal best

Get ready to put your fitness to the test at the 6th Annual Tri Das Triathlon on Sunday, August 16 at Das Rec. Designed for everyone from first-time participants to seasoned athletes, the event combines swimming, cycling, and running in a timed indoor format.

Participants will have 10 minutes to swim, 30 minutes to bike, and 20 minutes to run, with points awarded based on the distance completed during each segment. Registration is $65, with waves starting at 8:50 AM and additional waves at 9:30, 10:10, and 10:50 AM.

Follow the clues, crack the mystery, and win a sweet prize

Before summer break officially comes to an end, bring the kids to Le Petit Sweet on Thursday, August 13 at 1:00 PM for a magical scavenger hunt through the shop.

Young explorers will follow clues, solve puzzles, and search through all the nooks and crannies to uncover a secret phrase. Complete the quest and they'll earn a special prize at the end. Best of all, this adventure is free and makes for a fun afternoon of imagination before the back-to-school routine begins.

STEAK NIGHT AT HAPPY COW IS A DEAL WORTH GRABBING

Looking for an easy dinner plan tonight? Happy Cow Bar & Grill is serving up a New York Strip steak with a baked potato for just $16. It's a hearty meal at a price that's tough to beat, whether you're grabbing dinner with friends or treating yourself to a night out.
