FOOD|BOX PLANS $1.5M PROJECT IN NEW BRAUNFELS’ MAYFAIR COMMUNITY

Another sign of growth in a ‘city within a city’

A $1.5 million Food|Box project is coming to the Mayfair community in New Braunfels, with construction expected to begin April 1, 2026 and wrap up in 2027. The new one-story, 7,020-square-foot store will serve a fast-growing area along the I-35 corridor that’s already become a major retail and residential hub.

Food|Box is known for offering more than just fuel, with grab-and-go food options like breakfast tacos, burritos, burgers, sandwiches, and pizza. The project marks another step in the company’s Hill Country expansion and reflects the continued growth shaping this part of the city.

Painting With A Twist New Braunfels still has plenty of fun sessions lined up for the rest of winter break, with options for adults, families, and kids alike. From relaxed paint nights to family-friendly classes, it’s an easy way to do something creative without the screens.

You’ll find the studio at 1551 N. Walnut Ave, Ste 20 in The Oaks shopping center, just west of IH-35 — a perfect stop for a little winter break fun.

A recent Gallup poll found that nearly half of Texans have skipped necessary medical care because of cost concerns. If you’ve ever delayed a doctor’s visit, avoided a test, or worried about what a medical bill might look like, you’re not alone. Rising costs and confusing plans have left a lot of families unsure where to turn.

That’s why The New Braunfels Life partners with Penn Mallery, a local health insurance expert who helps Hill Country families and small businesses build custom coverage that actually fits their needs. Penn takes the time to listen, explains options in plain English, and helps find plans that make sense for real budgets, without the frustration of big insurance call centers.
