IN PARTNERSHIP WITH

Good morning, New Braunfels! Did you have some fun for St. Patrick’s yesterday? Midweek is here, and there’s a mix of fun events, local updates, and community happenings worth checking out.

Whether you’re in the mood to laugh at a live comedy competition, stay in the loop with a notable local business update, or plan a laid-back outing with your pup, we’ve got you covered with what’s happening around town.

If your home’s windows are starting to look outdated, feel drafty, or drive up your energy bills with the Hill Country's extreme weather, it may be time for an upgrade.

Window World of Texas is a fourth-generation family-owned and operated company helping homeowners improve comfort, efficiency, and curb appeal with high-quality replacement windows and exterior home improvements. Backed by the strength of the national Window World brand, they combine trusted products, strong warranties, and competitive pricing with the kind of personal service that only a family business can deliver.

And they do more than just windows. Window World of Texas also offers doors, siding, gutters, patios, and Brickstone masonry siding, helping homeowners enhance the beauty and durability of their homes with dependable installation and long-lasting materials.

Right now, homeowners can take advantage of a free design consultation, 0% financing for 18 months, and 10% off any James Hardie siding project.

Amateur comics get their shot at laughs and a $100 cash prize

Think you’re funny? Or just want a night of solid entertainment? The Amateur Stand Up Comedy Competition is happening tonight at 6:00 PM at Clubhouse on Castell, and it’s open to anyone ready to grab the mic.

Whether you’re performing or just watching, expect a fun, laid-back night filled with local talent, unexpected jokes, and plenty of laughs. Contestants can pre-register or sign up at the door, and one winner will walk away with a $100 cash prize.

TWO RESTAURANTS CLOSE THEIR DOORS IN NEW BRAUNFELS

Fatburger and Round Table Pizza shut down less than two years after opening

A noticeable shift has hit one of New Braunfels’ busiest shopping areas as Fatburger and Round Table Pizza have both closed their Marketplace locations along I-35. The closures come less than two years after the restaurants first opened side by side.

Both brands are part of FAT Brands, a large restaurant group that has faced financial challenges, including a recent Chapter 11 bankruptcy filing. These closures reflect broader industry pressures and leave behind empty storefronts in a high-traffic area, raising questions about what’s next for the space.

More and more locals are moving toward a more personalized kind of healthcare, and Dr. Jason Nelson is leading that shift. With more than 25 years serving the community, his MDVIP-affiliated practice focuses on prevention, deeper relationships, and giving patients more time with their physician.

That patient-first approach has earned him a perfect 5-star rating across 100+ reviews and recognition as a ā€œPatients Top Choiceā€ physician by U.S. News & World Report. If you’re looking for more access, more insight, and a doctor who truly partners with you in your long-term health, this is a practice worth exploring.
