✨ Free Concert, Library Fun, & Fashion Event

IN PARTNERSHIP WITH

Happy Wednesday, and yes, it’s Tax Day. Hopefully that’s already taken care of… or at least close 😅

Now that that’s out of the way, there’s plenty of good stuff happening around New Braunfels to shift the focus. Here’s what’s going on around town today 👇

Newman & Company is getting ready to celebrate 6 years with a huge spa-wide sale you don’t want to miss, and now’s the time to mark your calendar so you don’t miss it. On May 14–15, enjoy 30% off treatments and products across the board, making it the perfect time to stock up or finally book that service you’ve been putting off. It’s also the last big sale at their current location, so expect this one to be worth it.

On top of that, the first 50 guests who spend $1,000+ in person will score a free head-to-toe beauty bag. If you’ve been waiting for a sign, this is it.

Mark your calendar and plan your visit.

Live music, food trucks, and good vibes at Landa Park

If you want an easy, no-cost plan that still feels like an actual outing, Live @ Landa is the move. Happening Thursday from 6 to 9 PM, this free concert features Slim Bawb & the Fabulous Stumpgrinders with a mix of country, classic rock, and more.

Bring a lawn chair or blanket, grab food from local trucks, and settle in for a relaxed night out that’s actually worth leaving the house for.

Free events, real community, and something for everyone

If you think the New Braunfels Public Library is just books and quiet spaces, you’re missing what’s actually going on. Both branches run a full calendar of free weekly events, from storytimes and family activities to art classes, tech help, and casual meetups that bring people together.

There’s something for every age group. Kids have engaging storytimes, adults can join creative sessions like art classes or Sit & Stitch, and teens get their own space with clubs, games, and social events. With new programs constantly rotating in, it’s one of the easiest ways to get involved in the community without spending anything.

More patients are turning to MDVIP-affiliated practices for a more personalized, prevention-focused healthcare experience. Studies published in peer-reviewed journals have shown fewer hospital visits, reduced emergency care, and earlier detection of serious health risks compared to traditional models, all pointing to the impact of more attentive, proactive care.

Here in New Braunfels, Dr. Jason Nelson brings that approach to life with over 25 years of experience serving local families. His practice is built around longer appointments, better access, and a focus on long-term wellness, helping patients stay ahead of their health, not just react to it.

Making new friends as an adult can be weirdly tough. We’re making it easier.

It’s finally time to tell you about the The New Braunfels Life Dinner Club!

Here’s how it works:

🍽️ Take a quick quiz about your personality, interests, and food preferences.

✨ Get matched with five other New Braunfels residents who fit your style (think food preferences, budget, life stage).

📍Your table of six meets for dinner on Wednesday, April 29th at 6:30PM - the exact restaurant is revealed that morning.

🥂 After dinner, all groups are invited to a casual after-meetup to keep the conversation going.

Want to go with someone specific (significant other, good friend, etc.)?

Fill out the form, then forward the link to that person. At the end of the quiz, you’ll have the option to invite a friend — they’ll get an email and need to book within 12 hours so the platform can seat you together.

If you’ve been wanting to meet new people in town, this might be the easiest (and most fun) way to do it.

A chic afternoon of fashion, food, and local flair

The 2026 Spring Fashion Plate at Krause’s Cafe is your excuse to dress up and do something different. This Thursday from 11:30 AM to 2:30 PM, enjoy a chef-prepared lunch, wine, and a live showcase of spring and summer styles from local boutiques.

With swag bags, door prizes, and dessert included, it’s a fun, social way to spend your afternoon while supporting downtown projects.
