🎶 Midweek Fun, Local Updates & A Big Announcement

Hey there,

Happy Wednesday! We’ve officially hit the halfway point of the week, and there’s still plenty happening around New Braunfels, from live music and community events to local updates and fun things to check out around town.

Let’s get into it 👇

After an awesome first event, we’re officially opening signups for Dinner Club #2 on May 27th, and spots are already going fast.

The first Dinner Club brought together around 75 locals across 9 restaurants around town for a night of great food, new friendships, and conversations that continued into the after-party. We’ve already run into attendees hanging out together afterward ❤️

Here’s how it works:

🍷 Take a quick personality & interests quiz
🍽️ Get matched with around 5 other locals
📍 Your restaurant is revealed the morning of the event
🎉 Everyone meets up after dinner for an optional after-party

Whether you’re new to town or just looking to meet more people, this has turned into something really special.

Huge thanks to our May Dinner Club sponsor, Newman & Company.

A fun-filled barbecue cookoff and community fundraiser kicks off Friday in New Braunfels

Barbecue, live music, cold drinks, and a great cause all come together this weekend at VFW Post 7110 as Cookin Up A Cure For Kids returns for another year of food and fun. The event begins Friday evening and continues through Saturday with barbecue teams competing and serving up their best throughout the weekend.

Guests can enjoy live entertainment, a lively atmosphere, and plenty of great food while supporting a community-focused event that brings people together each year. Festivities take place at VFW Post 7110, located at 600 Peace Ave in New Braunfels.

A free community event helps residents safely dispose of harmful household materials

New Braunfels and Comal County residents can safely clear out old chemicals, paint, automotive fluids, batteries, and other hazardous household items during the Household Hazardous Waste Drop-Off happening Saturday morning at New Braunfels City Hall. The free event gives locals a responsible way to dispose of materials that shouldn’t be thrown in the trash or poured down drains.

Accepted items include pesticides, cleaners, pool chemicals, paint products, oil filters, and more, with all liquids required to be in sealed containers of five gallons or less. The event runs from 8 am to 12 pm at 550 Landa Street, and participants should enter through Laurel Lane. A valid state-issued photo ID is required.

Finding the right health insurance can feel overwhelming, especially when so many plans force you into limited networks or enrollment deadlines.

That’s why more local families and small business owners are turning to Penn Mallery for custom PPO health plans built around their actual needs. Plans can include nationwide networks, optional dental and vision coverage, and flexible enrollment options year-round.

If you’ve been frustrated with your current coverage or just want to explore better options, it may be worth having a quick conversation.
