The library’s summer reading kickoff is just around the corner!
Summer is here, and the New Braunfels Public Library is ready to help you and your family dive into a season of colorful fun. The 2025 Summer Reading Program, themed “Color Your World!”, launches on Saturday, June 7, with a kickoff party at the Main Branch Library from 10 am to 1 pm.
Families can enjoy everything from an outdoor karate dance party and foam party to vehicle tours with the Police and Fire Departments, plus snow cones, arts and crafts, and a kids’ book sale.
But the fun doesn’t stop there. Throughout the summer, you can join science shows, themed story times, a dinosaur bone demonstration, and even a festive Christmas in July! Just grab a game card to track your activities and earn prizes along the way.

Your chance to shape a new trail in New Braunfels!
The City of New Braunfels is hosting a public open house to get community input on plans for a new hike and bike trail along Waterway Lane. This alternative transportation project is in response to residents’ concerns over a previous roadway proposal.
