Good morning, New Braunfels! We’re officially in July now, and summer is moving right along. The Fourth of July weekend is almost here, and there's plenty to look forward to over the next few days.
From one of the area's biggest fireworks shows to live theater and a festive evening downtown, we've rounded up a few highlights to help you start planning your holiday weekend.

Celebrate Independence Day with one of New Braunfels' biggest annual traditions
The Fourth of July Fireworks Spectacular, sponsored by H-E-B, returns to Landa Park on Saturday, July 4, with fireworks lighting up the sky beginning at approximately 9:15 PM. The celebration starts even earlier with the final Live @ Landa concert featuring the 90s VHS Band at 6:00 PM, creating an evening full of music, community, and patriotic fun.
Fireworks will be visible from several locations around the city, including Landa Park, the Landa Park Golf Course, Fredericksburg Baseball Fields, and even Fischer Park. Families are encouraged to arrive early, expect large crowds, and tune in to KGNB 1420 AM / 103.1 FM for the synchronized patriotic soundtrack during the show.

Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat opens this week
One of musical theater's most beloved productions arrives at Circle Arts Theatre beginning Thursday, July 2, with performances running through July 26. Filled with colorful costumes, unforgettable songs, and family-friendly storytelling, Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat brings the timeless biblical story to life in a fun and entertaining way.

Major Middle School Chooses the Lions as Its Mascot
Comal ISD has officially announced that the Lions will be the mascot for Major Middle School, which is scheduled to open in Fall 2027 in the growing Mayfair community. Construction continues as excitement builds for the district's newest campus.
Registration Open for Dragon Football Camp
Future athletes can now sign up for Dragon Football Camp held at the end of July, led by the Long Creek High School coaching staff. Open to all skill levels, the camp focuses on football fundamentals, teamwork, and confidence-building through fun, game-style instruction.
Veteran-Owned Wine Bar Coming to Town Creek
A new locally owned business is preparing to open its doors in New Braunfels. Wine Folks, a veteran-owned wine bar and bottle shop, will soon welcome guests to the Town Creek neighborhood, offering a curated wine experience centered around community and creating memorable moments.

New Braunfels continues to attract new residents at an incredible pace. According to a new national migration report, the city's 78130 ZIP code ranked No. 1 in the nation for total move volume for the second consecutive month, highlighting the area's continued growth and popularity.
Golf Tournament Raises More Than $30,000 for Local Families
The Ken Jacobs Memorial Classic Golf Tournament raised more than $30,000 for Family Promise of Greater New Braunfels, helping support local families experiencing housing instability. The annual event brought together community members and sponsors in support of an important local cause.
