Most City of New Braunfels offices and buildings will be closed for the holiday. Trash and recycling pickup stays on schedule. Das Rec will operate 8 am–5 pm. Fireworks viewing at Landa Park starts after dark!

🦌 Game Wardens Investigating Illegal Deer Killings

Two illegal deer killings occurred in New Braunfels in the past week, both involving crossbows. Officials urge anyone with information to call Operation Game Thief at 1-800-792-4263.

🏠 Real Estate Market Update

Active listings in Comal County are up nearly 20% from last year. Experts say sellers are more flexible and buyers should get pre-qualified now before potential interest rate drops later this year.

🧴 Texas Passes New Food Label Law

Starting in 2027, Texas will require warning labels for foods containing 44 specific additives banned in other countries. Experts believe this new state law could impact national packaging practices — though some of the science and accuracy behind the ban is being questioned.
