This summer, our locally owned partners at Massage Heights are giving the community a simple way to make a difference. Through August, their New Braunfels and Spring Branch/Bulverde locations are collecting nonperishable food donations to help children who may lose access to school meal programs during the summer.

Donate $10 worth of nonperishable food—such as pasta, spaghetti sauce, beans, or mac and cheese—and you'll receive a free Elevation to enjoy during your next visit. It's an easy way to support local families while adding a little extra relaxation to your massage or facial.

Take a trip down memory lane with a celebration of one of the most beloved book series of all time at The Book Haus

The Book Haus is celebrating the 40th anniversary of The Baby-Sitters Club this afternoon at 2 pm with a fun-filled community event featuring friendship bracelet making, themed snacks, giveaways, and plenty of nostalgia for longtime fans. Whether you grew up reading the series or are introducing it to a new generation, it's a great opportunity to celebrate a literary classic.

The one-hour event is open to the public and offers a fun, family-friendly way to connect with fellow readers while celebrating four decades of stories that inspired millions.

The McKenna Family STEAM Class returns on Friday, July 10, inviting children ages 5–7 and their caregivers to learn together through interactive, hands-on activities. Families will explore creative challenges designed to spark curiosity, encourage problem-solving, and make learning exciting.

The class is included with regular museum admission while supplies last, making it a fun and educational way to spend an afternoon together.

Build confidence while learning practical techniques in a supportive environment at this FREE female self-defense class

Women and girls ages 12 and up are invited to attend a Free Female Self-Defense Seminar this Saturday, July 11 at Gracie Jiu-Jitsu. No prior experience is required, and experienced instructors will teach practical skills designed to improve awareness, confidence, and personal safety.

Admission is free, and participants are encouraged to wear comfortable workout clothing and bring a friend or family member along. RSVP is requested to reserve your spot.

Whitewater Amphitheater Files for Chapter 11 Bankruptcy
Whitewater Amphitheater has entered the Chapter 11 bankruptcy process, but fans can expect the music to continue. Venue officials say all scheduled concerts and events will move forward as planned while the business reorganizes financially.

Two New Braunfels Officers Receive MADD Enforcement Hero Award
New Braunfels Police Officers Corey Turi and Marshall Crabb have been honored with the 2026 Mothers Against Drunk Driving (MADD) Enforcement Hero Award. The recognition celebrates their efforts to remove impaired drivers from local roads and help keep the community safe.

Stein-Holding Championship Returns to Krause's Café
Masskrugstemmen, the traditional German beer stein-holding competition, returns to Krause's Café this Saturday. Competitors will battle for a spot in the August finals, where the winners will earn a weekend trip to New York City, while spectators can enjoy one of New Braunfels' most entertaining annual contests.

Mission Cup VBS Registration Now Open
Mission Cup VBS is returning July 13–16 with four mornings of football, soccer, basketball, and cheer activities for children entering kindergarten through fifth grade. The camp combines sports instruction, teamwork, and character-building, with registration now open.

Circle Arts Theatre Hosts Pay What You Can Night
