CANYON LAKE BOAT RAMPS REOPEN

Several Boat Ramps Reopen After Nearly a Year of Drought Closures

Just months ago, Canyon Lake was facing a 60-year low, and all public boat ramps were closed due to dangerously low water levels. But after the recent deadly heavy rains across Central Texas, the lake has rebounded, rising nearly 14 feet and now sitting at nearly 68% capacity.

As of this this week, ramps 1, 14, 18, and 19 are officially back open. While some access points may charge fees or vary in condition, the reopening marks a major turning point for boaters, swimmers, and lakeside businesses that rely on summer traffic.

After nearly a year of closures, it’s a relief to see Canyon Lake regaining its momentum as one of the Hill Country’s most beloved outdoor destinations.
