Fueling creativity, culture, and community in New Braunfels.

The City of New Braunfels is now inviting applications from local non-profit arts and heritage organizations for its annual Hotel Occupancy Tax–funded grants. These grants help power local arts, culture, and historic preservation programs — with over $700K awarded last year alone!

If your organization celebrates the arts or preserves New Braunfels’ unique heritage, apply online by October 31 at 5 PM for a chance to receive funding.

🚗 Schertz-Based Mechanic Shop Expands to I-35
Total True Automotive has opened its second New Braunfels location at 1997 I-35 N. frontage road, offering maintenance, tire repair, and alignment services. The family-owned shop, which also operates locations in Schertz and on Landa Street, officially opened its doors on September 17.

🧸 New Preschool Opens in New Braunfels
Families in New Braunfels have a new early learning option with the Cactus Grove Learning Center, which opened September 2 at 177 E. Faust St. The center, owned by Valerie Garcia, offers a hands-on, play-based curriculum for children ages 4–5, blending fun with foundational Pre-K education.

🦊 Rabies Case Confirmed in New Braunfels
Local health officials are reminding residents to be cautious after a fox tested positive for rabies—the 20th confirmed case in Comal County this year. Authorities urge pet owners to keep vaccinations up-to-date, avoid contact with wild animals, and report unusual behavior to Animal Welfare (830-608-2183) in New Braunfels or Comal County (830-608-2016).
